Fish Heads

[edit]
  • Hi there! You said something about 'a lot of songs' such as Fish heads on VfD. I felt that Fish Heads was most appropriately explained under the Dr. Demento show, so I've merged it there. If you feel that is wrong please let me know. I'd like to know what other songs you were referring to, btw. Radiant_* 11:06, Apr 5, 2005 (UTC)
    • You raise some good points. However, the existence of the category 'song-stubs' does not necessarily imply that each song should be on its own page. I believe that many kinds of information are most valuable when put in context. Merging a page should not be seen as a claim that the page is unimportant - but rather that the page is very significant to another page. For instance, see Horses_of_Middle_Earth, and imagine that each paragraph used to be a separate article. Therefore, when I see a stub, I usually consider whether it is best expanded on its own, or merged into context. And we have a 'be bold' guideline for the latter :) Radiant_* 07:40, Apr 6, 2005 (UTC)

Bhili language

[edit]

Hi, just wanted to let you know I've rewritten Bhili language so that it's in English and is actually about the Bhili language. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about it, but I added what I could. Just in case you want to reconsider your VFD vote. --Angr/(comhrá) 06:01, 6 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Symbolism of Final Fantasy VIII & McGill

[edit]

I was the one who wrote the symbolism of FF8 article a few months ago... and was pleased that you found some of my insights interesting. I was wondering if you think there is any way that i could include the article...

Also, what did you think about McGill, I am thinking about applying their for a double major of political science and law.

--jonasaurus 05:35, 13 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

PS. I don't ordinarily spend so much time on things like that. (Read: I'm not wierd). I simply really liked the game and wanted to write about it.

  • The advice about consensus building for FF8 was really helpful, as well as the advice about McGill...

As I am originally from Winnipeg, so it would be remarkably cheap for me to attend compared to California State schools here.... You've helped very much. --jonasaurus 07:40, 14 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I put it back in; better safe than sorry, I guess. Niteowlneils 00:28, 21 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Woodworking for Women, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Slysplace | talk 01:57, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

While looking for something I just found the article. Are they similar to Dark adaptor goggles? Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather Have a gorilla 02:59, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I'll need to try and figure out which way round they should go. CambridgeBayWeather Have a gorilla 14:22, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:SoftShell logo.jpg)

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:SoftShell logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 01:06, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article PointerWare has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (companies) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
