Wait a minute. Why does this article imply Jackie was married to Abe? Abe is Homer's father, not Marge's. Am I missing something here? --Johnleemk 15:36, 16 Mar 2004 (UTC)

jackie did not marry anybody (luke)

You are, the two dated in one episode, until Burns interfered, resulting in him (Burns) almost marrying her.

Hang on. Why is this article called "Jackie (The Simpsons)"? We should at least call it Jackie Bouvier. Yeah, I know Jacqueline Bouvier redirects to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Oh yeah. The only person she ever married was Clancy Bouvier. APclark 17:55, 3 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

She appeared in Moaning Lisa in a dream sequence first. --66.82.9.79 02:08, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

Jacqueline Bouvier (The Simpsons)Jacqueline Bouvier — Currently "Jacqueline Bouvier" redirects to "Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis". She was born "Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis" but is overwelmingly known as "Jackie Kennedy" or "Jackie Onassis" Ted87 00:26, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you're joking. The notability of the name "Jacqueline Bouvier" stems from it being the true maiden name of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Otherwise, the Simpson character wouldn't even have this name! --Serge 01:27, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually I'm quite serious. The late wife of President Kennedy is no longer known as Jacqueline Bouvier. The article identifies her as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis on account of her name change after she was married. Today, most people searching for Jacqueline Bouvier would be searching for the Simpsons character....not Jackie Kennedy (as she is more commonly called).--NPswimdude500 01:20, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Source of character name

[edit]

This is from the article:

The DVD commentary revealed her character is named after Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis, whose maiden name was Bouvier. Her father was John Vernou Bouvier III. --Serge 01:30, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Who created the character of Jacqueline Bouvier? It is created by Matt Groening or any writers of The Simpsons? -Bryan Seecrets 06:20, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
