Mnemonic to remember the 11 Canadian Provinces. From "TWO TERRITORIES": 1)YUKON, 2)NORTHWEST, and a native named "BASMOQ" 3)BRITISH COLUMBIA, 4)ALBERTA, 5)SASKATCHEWAN, 6)MANITOBA, 7)ONTARIO & 8)QUEBEC drank 9)MINI-SODA (Minnesota) with 10)PRINCE EDWARD (island) & his four "Ns" 11)NUNAVUT, 12)NEWFOUNLAND & LABRADOR, 13)NEW BRUNSWICK & 14)NOVA SCOTIA.

The problem with the mnemonic above is Canada has 11 provinces and 3 territories.

A better one is: Billy and Sally Might Make Our Queen Nervous Playing Near Needles. (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Minnesota, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, PEI, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland)

Then for the territories: You're Not Nice (Yukon, Northwest Territory and Nunavut)

I've added all the actual articles on the provinces and territories to this category, because that's what this category is for. The fact that they are also members of specific subcategories shouldn't matter, because they're only in those specific sub-categories as the title articles, or whatever. john k 17:44, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
