Guynes was Demi's stepfather's surname, whom her mother married after Demi was born, so her maiden name wll actually be Harmon, her biological father's surname. My understanding is Dan Guynes assumed responsibility for Ginny's maternal condition after Charlie Harmon abandoned her and so Demi was born with the Guynes surname.
