If you upload an image here, it is only usable by Wikipedia. I think that's just the English Wikipedia even. There are other related wikis, such as the Wikibooks project that does textbooks like Biology and a Cookbook.

To make images available to all projects, upload them to the Commons

In particular, I plan to start a Garden book over at Wikibooks. The tomato hornworm picture would be very helpful, but I can't directly access it right now. I guess I could copy it over there if you don't do so.

Tip: at night, a UV light will make them glow

Hi there,

The species pictured in this photograph is Manduca sexta, aka the tobacco hornworm. It can be identified by 7 diagonal markings close to its spiracles.

The tomato hornworm (as the picture is labelled), Manduca quinquemaculata, can be identified by 8 V-shaped markings close to its spiracles. It can be found in nature in both green and black-bodied versions.

For more information, please see the following:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomato_hornworm

http://creatures.ifas.ufl.edu/field/hornworm.htm

This picture should be re-labeled as Tobacco Hornworm.
