Copyrighted Images

[edit]

Hi there, I'm afraid I had to remove your addition of Image:W R Dean Enters Highbury.jpg and flag it as a copyright violation, as the photo is copyrighted by another website [1]. For any image to be added to Wikipedia they must already be public domain, licenced under the GFDL, or created by yourself. Most images on the web are copyrighted - even though it's easy to upload photos from another site, they are not allowed as it means Wikipedia could get into trouble for breaking copyright laws.

I haven't removed the second photo as it looks like one you've taken yourself. If this is the case then that's absolutely fine to add. Image use policy which tells you what is OK and what isn't - could you please read this before posting any more images? Thanks. Qwghlm 10:34, Apr 8, 2005 (UTC)
