Why set up outwith Scotland?

[edit]

And why had this court been set up in the Netherlands and not in Scotland? -- JeLuF 17:39, 24 Nov 2003 (UTC)

Libya refused to hand over Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi and Al Amin Khalifa Fhimah for trial despite UN sanctions, and this was a compromise aimed moving the case towards a resolution. It is all covered in Pan Am Flight 103 including information from earlier drafts of this page, which is why this article should redirect there. --Henrygb 00:20, 23 Mar 2004 (UTC)
