Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vincent Pastore

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is from the child who keeps on putting up substubs on everything having to do with the movie mentioned. He's already added Tom King, actor again, after it was deleted; I put it up for speedy just now. We should consider blocking this person; I've reported him on Wikipedia:Vandalism_in_progress#152.163.100.8. — Bill 23:29, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete: not the right IP range for the B-Movie Bandit, but someone like it, no doubt. Substub that tells nothing and establishes no notability whatever. Geogre 00:41, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
    • Keep the excellent rewrite, and kudos to Nevalalee for saving the article. We should all work so hard. Geogre 04:47, 16 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Not notable. --Improv 02:36, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • That user is also known as User:mickeyblueeyes, User:Thealakdsfj, and User:Ajjjj. See the history. [[User:Poccil|Peter O. (Talk)]] 06:57, Oct 15, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete as all the non-famous actors of that movie. andy 10:14, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. This is a lousy substub, but Vincent Pastore is a notable actor with over sixty credits on imdb.com. Most notably, he had a major recurring role on The Sopranos (as Salvatore 'Big Pussy' Bonpensiero). Article needs work, but I'd be glad to add to it later today. Nevalalee 16:54, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
If you manage to turn it to a real article, I'll change to a "Keep" vote. The problem with this user and the B-Movie Bandit is that they're littering. What they do is worse than an absence in the opinion of many (me, included), because they occupy the name with misleading information that, simply, does not inform. Many, if not most, can be turned to good account, but project time is being directed/demanded by someone (or something) away from the interests and knowledge of Wikipedians. It would be far better, so say many of us, to have nothing and then await a sane and considerate author than to have uninformative bubbles that give readers and users the idea that we're a place for random playtime. Okay, I've turned this into what I think should be a passable stub. Nevalalee 00:18, 16 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Article seems good now. Keep. [[User:Meelar|Meelar (talk)]] 00:25, Oct 16, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep current version is a fine stub Jxan3000 10:04, Oct 19, 2004 (UTC)
