I don't want to be too quick to label something vandalism that might be a sincere attempt to add to the Wikipedia, but the changes labeled "scepticism" (sic) are not NPOV, nor do they make much sense. I suspect this individual may be trying to assert an alternative meaning for the word "Mentalist" that isn't widely accepted. If he or she can write a coherent defense of this definition, then perhaps we can create a disambiguation page and link to the new definition. --67.171.28.197 19:41, 15 Sep 2004 (UTC)

men·tal·ism ( P ) Pronunciation Key (mntl-zm) n. 1. Parapsychological activities, such as telepathy and mind reading.

2. The belief that some mental phenomena cannot be explained by physical laws.

This really needs to be disambiguated into (at least) two pages, preferrably also with a redirect from Mentalism to the stagecraft version (which needs expansion). If no-one else gets round to it I'll try and do it myself when I have time. --Trevor mendham 10:16, 20 Sep 2004 (UTC),

The use of 'mentalist' in 'I'm Alan Partridge' preceded its use use in 'The Office'. --Kingzog 23:00, 18 Feb 2005 (UTC)
