The "them" in here
'hunt them down'
has no antecedent, but I can't fix it as I do not know the story. Presumably you mean Imogene and her lover, but the grammar is inadequate.

I have read the story and the "them" you refer to does mean Imogene and her lover whose name is Nick something (sorry - forgotten the surname). The character Nick is also a gentleman gone bad, like Dr Syn - they originally meet in Oxford before either turns to piracy. Helen-Eva 15:35, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
