Can anyone confirm any part of this? Wetman 02:30, 30 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Who's Who in the Old Testament (Routledge) says "Son of Canaan and a grandson of Ham, he was the acknowledged ancestor of the Hittite tribe". That's all. It's also the eighth letter of the Hebrew alphabet. I'm not going to edit the article, though, this isn't my area at all. --Camembert
By "acknowledged ancestor" surely a modern reader understands "eponym" no? Folk ethnology drawn from references in the Tanach aren't the same as literal history. Are all Yankees descended from someone named "Yank"?Wetman 02:43, 30 Jan 2004 (UTC)
