Quartal

[edit]
See also Talk:List of quartal pieces.

"Zoot Allures" is listed on List of quartal pieces. However, this article says that "The title track is a guitar vehichle, which adopts major ninth, minor seventh chords and lydian modalities as main ingredients" with no mention of fourths. As these seem incompatible analysis, one of them is wrong, and one or the other article needs adjustment, or we need to describe both viewpoints in the Zoot Allures article. Also impotant and popular tracks such as "Wind Up Workin' In A Gas Station", The "Torture Never Strops", and "Disco Boy", should all definitely have their own articles. Been done, also since Find Her Finer was a single, I made one for it as well. --Mrmoustache14 (talk) 23:19, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Iron Sausage

[edit]

Worth pointing out that "Night of the Iron Sausage" is part of a line out of Torture Never Stops? Any info on whether that extended guitar solo was originally planned to form part of Torture? Just askin'. --Matt Westwood 19:46, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Song articles

[edit]

I'm making an article for "Disco Boy" and also plan on one for "Find Her Finer" since they were the 2 singles for the album. I also plan on making "Wind Up Workin' in a Gas Station" and "The Torture Never Stops". If anyone could help me by making/adding to these that'd be great. --Mrmoustache14 (talk) 02:13, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I've made them all, feel free to add to them. --Mrmoustache14 (talk) 05:07, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Guitar given to FZ by Hendrix

[edit]

At least part of the album was allegedly recorded with a Stratocaster given to FZ by Jimi Hendrix. JH set this guitar on fire at a festival. There also was an article in GP January 1977 about this. Is this worth adding? https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2002/aug/28/arts.artsnews1 http://www.afka.net/images/Magazines/1977/1977-01-xx%20Guitar%20Player%20v11n1%2000.jpg 91.141.0.169 (talk) 12:26, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I think that would be a good addition. Might even make a good candidate for WP:DYK. I'd be interested to hear what User:Ritchie333 thinks. Martinevans123 (talk) 12:32, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, you add this extra source: [1] - DVdm (talk) 12:42, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
