Wikipedia:WikiProject French dialects/Hierarchy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This hierarchic classification doesn't mean to demonstrate that dialect A is a subdialect of dialect B, but rather that dialect A is similar enough to dialect B as not to require an integral description started from scratch, implying that dialect B is perhaps more important in some way such as the amount of speakers.

These are but proposals: please comment and edit.

Proposal A – Explicitly making France French a dialect of French

[edit]

Proposal B – Using France French as a description base
