GB fan
[edit]Has anyone else experienced their edits being deleted by someone calling himself "GB fan"? Stevegordon9 (talk) 05:23, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
- Hello Stevegordon9, questions like this should go to the Teahouse. I reviewed the edit that you mentioned and I understand that user's point. Another good place to discuss the edit with that user would be on his/her talk page, in this case, User talk:GB fan. --Pine✉ 05:30, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
Well, GB fan's talk page cannot be accessed by me. I have tried. Then I noticed that GB fan seems only to go around Wikipedia deleting other people's additions. He or she deleted my first addition to a page on James Card wherein I cited his 1994 book. GB fan deleted this on the basis that I did not quote a source but this is absurd since the source is the book itself and I quoted the publisher and year of publication as well as the author and title. That seems to be good enough for any other reference in a book or thesis but not for Wikipedia according to GB fan. However, ask yourself what a source other than the title of the book, the author, the publisher, and the year of publication would look like? Perhaps GB fan wants me to provide a chip of the wood that became the paper the book was printed on? Really his request for a source is ridiculous. Or perhaps I should quote myself since I possess this book? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stevegordon9 (talk • contribs) 12:57, 13 October 2018 (UTC)

search and menu buttons disappeared on iphone
[edit]I have noticed recently that when I load the wikipedia home page on iPhone Safari, that the menu and search buttons at the top (to the left and right of the word “wikipedia”, respectively) are no longer there. You now have to tap the word “wikipedia” for these to show up. Is this on purpose, a side effect of the iOS 12.4.1 update, or just a random bug? It is pretty annoying. Template "WP:RAQ" not needed anymore?
[edit]In the 2nd line there is a hint and link (created by a template) to "WP:RAQ". This link leads to the same page as the last bullet "Database query" under the heading Wikipedia:Request directory #Technical and procedural.
So: Couldn't this template be deleted?
