First Supermodel? No

[edit]

I have an huge issue with statements like "(insert name) is considered the first model." According to whom? A biographer? One source? While the title isn't protected, trademarked, or otherwise awarded by one governing body, such statements should be changed to show the actual attribution making the claim Shows who made that statement, not just by footnoting and leaving it at that. It is a POV claim and has no business being to a cross reference. ClevelandExPat (talk) 01:41, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Are we to quote name every author who has credited her as the first supermodel? I don't think so. The lead already states "Considered by some to be the first supermodel." Flyer22 Frozen (talk) 21:20, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
